Wade has told me that he cannot prevent RR members from selling his DVD. Well I am not sure where this is going to go but this is spam and subverts the RR economic model. RR already has one paying video advertiser (Yapadu) and I am actively soliciting others.

Overwhelming response so far. Also, the above post can easily be taken out of context. When I say Horse-S**T video, I mean the ones you always see on the net where the heli is just a tiny spec. My video is not that way. There are several other guys with awesome video of IRCHA, just like me. The Team Canada stuff is going to be HOT, as well as the SKS one. We all have different styles and I did not want those guys to think in any way that I was directing anything negative at them, they are all beyond cool. Heck, I will be buying their DVDs as well!

My style is totally different and I want to change the way my guys shoot the action. I want the raw, entertaining flight. I did not include any scale stuff or hovering. That will be covered more than adequately by others.

My video is upclose and raw 3D. Ad should be up on the home page here at RR in the next few hours or so. Thanks Mark, we all appreciate what you do here and value the services of RR.

I just hate to see it when people get so competitive and forget why we fly in the first place, TO HAVE FUN. I have as much fun lugging that 10 pound camer around all weekend as I would have flying. You guys were a blast as well. Hopefully everyone knows who the ATL guys are now!

I just want to make sure everyone knows that the ATL crew is all about having fun, and showing up with some skills to backup all the smack we talk. Chris Coker is our official spokesperson on the Comedic side. Look to Sean and Matt for the serious mic work.

I had a complete blast. It was actually really hard to get everything that I wanted onto 1 DVD, but I didn't want to do 2 and slow the process down any. I think that everyone will be pleased with how much got packed onto this 90 minute DVD. Best of the Best, or weirdest. Where else can you see Henry getting shot with bottle rockets and still keep a heli in the air in pitch black darkness?

Wade, how about answering that previous question: what is the run length?

I've got two more of my own, as well:

1) Is it actually a DVD or is it a (S)VCD?

2) Is it pressed or burnt? (I ask because my first-gen DVD player can't play burnt discs)

Specifics

It has 12 tracks and runtime is approx. 90 minutes on a single DVD-R. That is the most standard format for most players made within the last 2 years. It works even on my picky Panasonic here at home. Haven't found a player yet that it didn't work on.

It is an authored and Burnt disk, it is not pressed. I have a Duplicator on the way that I think can press a copy from the Master, but I will not have it till next week.

I got me an Apex DVD player from Wal Mart for $50 and it will play everything VCD,SVCD,DVD(all). Pretty cheap compared to when they first came out $500.00+ With the latest technology now days its sad that we had to pay so much for something so limited on its capabilities. Im still waiting for the DVD BURNERS to come down more... until then I'm the VCD/SVCD king.

My Apex would probably play a friggin' pancake if I put it in there! Seriously the Apex is rated #1 for versatility, but unfortunately about 1 out of 3 burn out in the first month. If you get one to last over 2 months it will probably last forever.

VCD and SVCD are both very stable as well, just won't hold enough info for me.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am quite aware of the current pricing on DVD playing equipment. I just haven't had a need to buy anything new in a long time. I don't watch movies very often, or do anything else that justifies buying a new player. This particular video I'd be more than happy playing on my 17" computer LCD.
