| Hi HiroboEric,
While I appreciate your taking the time to respond, and totally understand the dynamics of a business, its absolutely no excuse. Think you would take an excuse like this from a busy doctor who botched a diagnosis on a loved one? Although this is not that drastic, there are similarities when commiting "business malpractice". When you take the responsibility of being in business and serving "paying" customers, taking our money to make a profit, there are NO excuses that are acceptable. Further, if some customers are loyal and still want to do business, there should be a notice on the web site that due to whatever reasons, there may be problems with an order and there is no phone service available and it may take several days to a week or more to resolve any problems. Of course if you were honest and wrote that on your site, it would affect your business, which it will do anyway since word of mouth gets around on these forums and people will shy away from "problem" sites. I'm sure you are a caring person who wants to serve the customers well AND have a good and profitable business. But, being the customer 3000 miles away and stuck with wrong, or damaged merchandise that cost several hundred dollars and not being able to call and talk to someone, its an unacceptable situation and a mighty bad feeling....... |
