Greetings:

On step 149 in the Bergen Observer Manual, it gives a picture with all of the pushrods laid out and gives the length of each of the various pushrods. When measuring the length of the pushrods, do you measure from the center of each eyelet(hole)? I just want to make sure I measured correctly.

I am going to keep my setup as is because it appears that the way that I measured the rods with my caliper is correct. I noted that in the Intrepid Manual, this information is detailed out giving you both the overall length of the pushrod and the measurement of the pushrod which is taken by measuring from the center of each holes located at their respected ends of the rod.

In the future it may be a good idea to indicate in the Observer Manual the reference points on the pushrods indicating where the measurements should be taken from.

Sorry for not answering this one for ya'. I have never looked at the Observer manual and was hoping someone out there would have an answer for you. I usually set everything up 90 degrees and parallel at zero degrees. I have never measured the ball links on my Observer.

I too, more-or-less, bypassed the measuring of the links and employed a technique similar to the one you described. It seemed a lot easier.
