for surfing the net i use mozilla and the proxomitron
its a proxy that sits between you and the internet and filters out popups, ads, those damn animated gifs that flash real fast, some malicious javascript code and a lot more
find it here http://proxomitron.cjb.net/

Okay guys - I have the zone alarm already installed as my firewall but I'm still getting the pop-ups. Is there a specific location within the program where I must disable the popups from getting though. Thanks for ya'lls help so far...

i'm pretty sure a firewall won't stop popups

it'll stop those annoying windows messenger spams, but not a web pop-up.

analogX make a killer that you can download for 14 days trial, and you can configure it to stop those irritating flash banner adverts. Am i the only person who would rather leave a site than see some 5 min flash presentation that i can't cancel.

Get the latest Google Toolbar from www.google.com and it has a popup blocker built in you can enable and disable according to the websites you visit...

Best I have used....

Mozilla is the public variant of Netscape, true, but without all the AOL bulls**t and commercial crap . . . .

Make sure that zone alarm is giving permision to Outlook
for that matter any program that you wish to have access
It usally ask you when a program trys to go to the net.
Its under program control.
Other programs like G2 you need to drop the security level down or you cant play online.
Hope this helps

The google website now has a toolbar that can be installed to run with your Internet explorer, and includes a pop-up blocker....and, it's free.

Just saw monk's post......

And, yes...in my haste to post "good" info, Galifrey once again also beats me to the punch.
