Sick and freaking tired of Pop-Ups! Did some reasearch but can't locate any free pop-up prevention software to download. Any ideas?

The panicware version works great I think. I've had my copy for years. Glad we don't need it here.

Im not familiar

Im not familiar with the other ones mentioned. I used POW Popup blocker. Basically whenever you get a popup, you click on pow and select that window and it puts it on a list, and any window that ever pops up with the same title (title at the top of the window, e.g. RunRyder-Reply to Topic...) as titles on the list it willl automatically close.

Use the Mozilla browser - it is very fast, very well reviewed, and popup blocking is part of it - no need to kludge on extra stuff!

here ya go

My opinion for what its worth .
popup stopper(panicware)
zone alarm( fire wall)(zone labs)
free version on both
more than enough protection
Ran it through one of those security check web sites. it said all ports couldnt be detected or my computor ,cant beat that

???

Hell I dont remember right off,
ZDnet or other site like it
As I remember the site was recomended to find security problems on your computor
It didnt find anything , ports nothing
Thought I'd be leakin somewhere , cause all I have is zonealarm(free) on a dsl line .
Now with pop up stopper No more pesky popups ,too cool
Dave
went to yahoo found this and others like it typed "security check"

Hey, Not ms IE

It is a great little browser. It is a lot faster than Microslut Internet exploder. It does not have all the strange little crashes and it has a nice small footprint. You could clear out cookies, history, and cache with one click. There is a pop up blocker right in. Plus you could skin it.

The thing I like is the ablility to tile several sites in the same window!

Down with Microsoft....Fight the Power!!!!!!!

Derek
By the way it is free and again not microsoft.

Combination of the 2

A good firewall, & a half decent pop up stopper program will stop any pop ups interuptin ur work.

Just a matter of tryin out different combos of firewalls & pop up stoppers 2 see which 1s work the best.

I use zonealarm(free) and pow!(free)

never fails.

pop ups dont stand a chance.
