Hughes500Pilot, I believe that is a rectifying prism... the guy that I bought the ETX 125 from said that is what he had on it. I am not sure of the 105 but the 125 has a flip mirror so that you can attach a diagonal I believe. On my LX200 I use the supplied one and if it is pointing up everythingin the eyepiece is right side up Try looking on www.astromart.com Jeff.

Watch out now... that could be trouble I just got some 2" eyepieces in yesterday and tell you what.... WOW!!! The best deal is the Astrobuffet 1 rpd ST80 30mm for just about 100.00 this guy gives you a fied of view at 80 degrees... it's like looking at a wide screen TV! very nice! I alod picked up a 22mm Nagler T4 and a 9mm Nagler T1. with the 9mm I could clearly see a band and the ring division on Saturn along with lots of moons, Jupiter clearly poped out with 2-3 bands and 4 moons... and Orion nebula looked awesome ... like I said watch out! this hobby has cost me more in the past 2 months than helis have in a few years. Jeff.

M&M, Thanks! it's not quite in focus and I am just starting to get into taking the images so I have a ton to learn yet

The equipment:

Telescope is a Meade LX200 12" GPS
Cam is Meade LPI imager

I had the laptop hooked up to it outside.... was quite cold so I don't know if my eyeballs were frosting over or what but getting the image in sharp focus was harder than pulling teeth I will play with it some more tonight-next morning to get it a little cleaner... now on to Saturn! Jeff.

I have a Meade LX90 w/ Orion ST-80 piggybacked. Setup for astrophotography, but my daughter was born and I would rather try to get some sleep at night instead of looking up

Saving the setup for when she is older and interested in space.
