Hey I have a piccolo and I have a few quick questions. Is it any more stabler when it has the CP upgrade? Is it easier to fly (out of ground effect of course)? Is it worth the money?

The cp version is more stable IMHO. The head speed is higher and it remains constant. This keeps the heli stable in descents where the FP picc loses head speed and stability. It is definetly worth the money.

The only gotcha is the blades are more delicate. The stock blades are about $30 a pair which is what I pay for my Raptor fiberglass blades.

Whoa, you get FG blades for $30? WHERE? I pay 23 for woodies, I might as well pay the extra 7 for the FG. BTW thanks for the info on the CP upgrade. I have another concern though... when I get my piccolo flying I lose rudder control. I hold full right rudder and it still turns to the left. My ATVs are even set to 150%. Any thoughts? BTW I'm using a ICS 50 ESC and a century micro piezo gyro.

gotta protect my supply!

I'm tempted not to say where the cheap fg blades are...OK, MTA Hobbies has them for $33. The best price I've found for picc cp blades was 30 and some places they are $35. Just like Logo blades, not many made so the price is higher.

On the rudder, I am fighting a similiar problem, but mine holds with about half stick to the right or spins left. Can't get my csm 200 gyro dialed in. I use the same esc. Does the rudder respond at all? Can you make it spin both ways with the heli just short of hover? This would be the best test. Not sure about the century gyro but my ikarus gyros had a gain that when turned up would cause the tail rotor to spin all the time. Increasing the gain increased the speed. I found that about half way between full speed and stopped was best. I still used revo mix to clean it up. That's why I went to a HH gyro although not with much success so far. I'm thinking of just getting a futaba gy240 and be done with it.

Hi, I have had a Piccolo for a few months running a piccoboard plus. At first I had the same problem with the tail not turning right at high throttle. After hours of tinkering I found a few things that really help stop the problem! Make sure that your tail gear mesh is set right or even a little on the sloppy side, Also make SURE that your flybar paddles are perfectly matched with each other otherwise it causes enough drag to where the tail cannot keep up with the torque. That is just a few things that I have done, I now have total control in both directions no matter what throttle setting!!!

If anyone wants more help feel free to E-Mail me!

Have a great day
