| Raptor 70 was flying so smooth, showing off at the pre club meeting flying, and was doing a full power inverted tail first take off. Going higher, higher, pulled it up vertical to go for an outside tail first loop (feeling very confident with my newly installed 601 gyro) and, motor went, "aaaaaaah" as I bogged it (too much pitch and elevator) and all the sudden a loud whack and the blades stopped, all I could do was watch it fall in horror. This happened over the woods and I couldn't find the whole tail assembly, major bummer, big time. I decided that power was the issue, going to sell the very new OS 70 and rebuild it as a 90 (cspec and mp2).
Two days later, I had just gotten my Eco 8 retuned from another gyro upgrade, was inverted and piro-ing. Unfortunatly I was also a bit away from me and couldn't see the thing when I tried to upright it. Did the wounded duck all the way down trying to figger out which way it was pointing.
Awfull week for me,
(One of the club members tried to console me: "Hey, at least you are flying good enough to be able to do that kind of damage") Thanks for the compliment Rich, I appreciate the sentiment...
