Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > Building 3DNT – Webra – bolt on crank?

I ordered 2 x 3DNT’s with Webra 91(2003 model). Both is clock wise turning. First one arrived – started building.

Question 1: When we put the washer, clutch bell… on the Webra as per manual the nut only goes on half way. Only half of the nut's threads reach the crank shaft threads. This can not be correct, can it???? This is especially worrying due to the CW rotation always wanting to loosen the nut. Any advice???

Question 2: On page 21 of the manual it says “Take a piece of sand paper to sand about 4 mm of each side from the flybar link guide pin 0101.” If I understand this correct the pin will be 8mm shorter, is this correct or is my English up to #$%&@*

HI

I cann't help you with the webra question as I have a OS in mine but the nut goes on with about 5mm of the crank showing. The other question i didn't sand anything of the pins just put them in as I wasn't too sure on what it ment either. I haven't flown it yet but the white derlin fly bar guides move how they should (according to the manual) about 20 degrees if my memory is correct. I think if you sanded any more of the pins they won't hold the guide on.

Hope this helps

The 5mm of the crank showing sounds more correct to me. I am a little lost here – Stephen has not answered my mail to him either. ?????

On the sanding “thing” can it mean that you must roughen the last 4mm of the pin on both sides to get the tread lock to hold the pin better?

Yes I guess thats what it means, I cleaned mine but a guess roughing up the surface will give better fixing. Just one thought, you have the clutch the right way up so the collet fits inside? as apart from that there isn't anything else than can stop it from going together. What is the length of the expose crank?? I'll try and measure mine tonight after work.

Will also measure mine tonight? Will also look at the motor’s specs tonight in the small chance that Cyberheli included the wrong motor in the Box.

Can any one give me the name/code of the Webra 91 right hand rotation as for 3DNT?

Hi,

if your crank is 8mm from the thread to the front bearing it should be the right one, if it has a step to 9.5mm you'll have to send it back
But the right hand rotation engine only exists with 8mm if I'm right... I guess there is something wrong, disassemble the clutch and check everything again.

Can't help you on the rest, but if Jan writes to sand 4mm you should do it, there is a reason he writes such a long manual...

I seem to remember when I built mine with the Webra, I left the washer off and the nut was just about completely screwed on to the crank. I cannot check this as I no-longer run the Webra, but that was just one of a few issues I had with fitting the Webra in the NT

Good luck
