| Hi,
Using the two extra bolts and spacers can also help to alleviate a frame alignment problem. Some of the v1 frames just would not allow the motor to align side to side properly, the plastic appears to be warped to a certain extent.
A quick test is turn the start shaft clockwise (free-wheeling direction), if it feels a tad tight try pushing the motor over to the side using your hand and see if it gets easier to turn (best method is to turn as you slowly push on the motor), try the opposite direction as well. If your not sure what a tad bit tight is then try the test anyway and see if it free's up. The start shaft should rotate free'ly or something is wrong.
On some of the frames you can push the motor over and tighten the motor mount bolts and it will stay put but on most I have seen you would need to use this plate with the spacers+bolts into the motor mount, slide the motor over and tighten everything up.
If your heli is eating clutches or bell / pinion bearings then try this test. |
