Miniature Aircraft Nitro/Gas Helicopters > SE Linkage Question

I just upgraded my X-Cell Graphite with a 0855 SE Radio tray. My question is; Why are the aileron control rods set to different lengths per the instructions? The LH is set to 106mm and the RH is set to 101.5mm. Both dimensions can vary by -.1mm.

I have trouble adjusting the rods to the proper length since the ball links have a certain direction they must engage the ball per the plans.

What gives? I know when I use the MA tapered rods I can get percisely any length necessary.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Yes there is a short ball link. I was wondering why one is shorter than the others. Upon examination I'm thinking it may be a clearence issue for the collective bell crank.

Another question. There is a doube ball holding the aileron servo wheel on. This attaches to the Collective bellcrank. Which ball does the link go on, the uppper or the lower? My instructions didn't say either way.

Thanks wingtip and David H!
