I have the subject items in my new Eco Piccolo but nothing seems to work properly. This thing makes me feel like such an idiot!!

The wiring is as follows:

Hitec rec.

Ch 1 Aileron servo
Ch. 2 Elevator servo
Ch. 3 Throttle control from Piccoboard
Ch. 4 Tail rotor control from Piccoboard

Batteries are charged, new model set up in Futaba 8UHP and mode set to PPM. Channel crystal is correct. Led blinks three times but that is it. Servos burp and main motor jerks when power is applied...But is it.

Any help out there?

PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED. I WAS SOLD THE WRONG RECEIVER!!

I have some suggestions:

1.Take out the Heading Module,Try it then.

2.Make sure all connections are snug.All the wires are soldered to the Picco-Board.

3.Un-plug everything from your reciever.Now Just Plug in the Main Motor,and Tail Motor.Hold Down the skids and give half-throttle.
If it still does it then you are Probably having Radio Interfearence.

The same thing happend on my nitro car when I turned it on.

Ohh wait ,You didnt have your Transmitter On the Charger did you.Because that will do it.

Just try those 3 steps and if it still happens then its a 9 out of 10 chance
that thats it.

Ohh i Forgot to ad something.Make sure that the antena is not wrapped around the Boom of the Heli.It interfears with the tail motor,and it will carry the interfearence into the Piccoboard.

On my Aerohawk I wrapped the Antenna Around the Landing Skid Rods(Not the Landing skids,Just the Rods That hold them on).

Also If you can try a Different Receiver.

Piccoboard Problem

I had the antenna stretched out on the bench. I left it this way for troubleshooting purposes.

I do not fly it anywhere yet because I can't get it to work!! My Excel 60 is completed but I am still trimming it out. I will probably fly it next weekend at the local club field in Richlands, VA.

Henry if you can get another reciever to check that is is not causing the problems. I have seen several Hitec feathers not work properly right out of the box. I just lent out my extra working one to a friend that had similar problems. He did call hitec and they replaced it with no questions asked. They heve great support.
