Anyone have a good suggestion for straightening out the mainshaft? I'd rather not buy a new piece of "Straight wire" if there is a reasonable solution for straightening this.

I gotta say the thing was pretty good up until the 15th or so crash which it bounced off a tree and then onto the ground and I know I've probably gotten my few bucks worth of the main shaft, but would rather not have to order one if possible. I'm being more frugal these days, especially ona tiny electric that cost me as much as an R30 kit :P

Do you have access to a bench vise?
I just straightend out a metal flybar that I made.
My Carbon one snapped. I just grab the end in vise grips or in your case the drive gear. Lay the rod so the jaws are gripping the full length. Clamp the bench vise down very very hard then loosen it up rotate it 90 degrees and repeat. Just keep varying your degrees of rotation until that sucker is straight again. It may tak a bit of doing but It will work. You may have to deburr it after with some 400 grit sandpaper.
Thanks for pointing out how much these things really cost

I'll give that a try tomorrow, thanks for the idea. I think it is a great heli for what it is. Most of the cost was in the micro-electronics, and since I don't do any other micro stuff it was a primary investment in the HB. The stock motor still runs for me, so I'm thankfull for that at least
