This is what happens when you have 6 thumbs and no sleep.
BTW, does anyone have one of these kickin' around that they would like to part with? Concept 60 SR, left frame part # H-6036R, Tower has a listing, but, only for both (L+R).

Maybe you already know but there is a Yahoo Talk group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kyosho There were several people with 60 stuff for sale. Just join up and post your question. They are a great bunch of guys. Good luck.

Been there, done that

I did the exact same when I first built my Concept 60sr. If you tighten that screw too much it will crack, at least thats what happened to me. I had to wait an extra week to wait for the part so I could finish it and fly. It really ticked me off. You learn the hard way I guess.

Frame part?

Thanks Doug,
ChicoNick, actually that's the bearing carrier for the elevator bracket, it has an aluminum insert. But I know the feeling that you are talking about, I did that on my Nexus; that last tiny twist of the screwdriver and------CRACK!!
The reason it broke is because I didn't line it up properly when I pushed the frames together and I heard that "Oh crap" sound going off in my head. Definately pilot/ builder abuse------hehehe, live and learn.

It was 4 and a half years ago when I broke mine so my memory might be off (my 16th birthday, I remember it like it was yesterday... I feel old now ). Anyway, now that I think about it, I think I was screwing it together before I joined the side frames so I probably tweeked it when tightening it causing it to break. The new frames I got had webbing there to stop that from happening. It was a bad design without the webbing. I am suprised you have frames without the webbing. Well I'm off to break something else

Frame Part?

Thanks Martin, someone else suggested that also, but, I don't really like to "micky mouse" stuff that way, before long everything is "jury rigged" and I wouldn't trust that.
For the piece of mind-to me anyway, I'd rather replace the part. I'm sure there are many people who have successfully repaired this way--it's just not my style.
