That should charge the birdseed packs alot better than the stock charger, but if you continue with electric flight, you will eventually want to get LiPoly packs. Here is a charger that is only a little more, that will charge the Nicad, NIMH, and also LiPoly. It has two charging outputs so you can charge 2 different packs at the same time. It is a field charger, and has a 12volt input, for attaching to a car battery, so for use at home you would need a 12volt wall transformer. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?Q=1&I=HCAP0290

I don't have either of these chargers, but just looking at the specs, the Hobbico MkII looks like a real deal.
