Thanks Mongo
Your real life experience has put some useful information into this.
All the theory in the world has to succumb facts.

By the way..I did your metal clip modification for the Rappy Canopy as was discussed in another threat.
Works a treat

Hi guy's,

Just thought i'd bring this one back for a larf.

Just received my quarterly BMFA news, there is an article in there about 3D Masters & in there is a brief mention of Karl-Heinz Jet Ranger, the write up states "it runs a head speed of 690-rpm has a flybar-less head with hollow aluminium blades" no mention of them being illegal.

Did anyone get any answers from the BMFA on their ruling in their handbook that metal blades should not be used. ??????

L.O.L.! It lives again...

I've heard back from the AMA....I reached the highest echelon I could get (3 levels)....Nothing other than "the rule for metal propellers pre-dates my involvement, and research on the basis of the rule is impossible"...

For those of you unaware of the true meaning of 3D, it is
DODGE, DIFFUSE, & DELAY...many corporations make it their prime directive.

Remi gave me a set of tail m-blades. They are too long for the current helicopter I am flying but I would see no danger in running aluminum tail blades. I actually like the idea because most carbon tails split it you tap them on the ground.

Ya know....in some ways...with the holidays on the way and nothing for a single guy to do.....I kind-of miss the childish bickering of this thread... ...lol...

wiwanczyk - Thanks for the Altavista idea.....I didn't even think about doing that, but will consider it when the time comes....
