I have one of those slimline battery bases for their electric fuel pump.

Was thinking today about replacing the "AA" dry cell batteries with rechargeable batteries, then just plug the whole thing into my charger every week.

Anyone see any problems with that?

Nicads

Nicad is what i use in mine. I use my Hi Tech charger to charge them. Been using it for 3 yrs now.

Dude: All of the shops here don't stock it, because it's not a common selling item. Heli-Proz has them....

The base goes fine on nicads.
I got a bottle top pump and battery base for a mate and a couple of airtight bottle caps for me and very pleased with all.

They sent it directly to me in New Zealand with no drama.

ruff,

I am using some 1800 NiMH's in mine, can go thru about 4 gallons before I need to recharge.

I also "pig-tailed" a male servo connector to the banana plugs that go into the base so I can use my field charger to charge it as well without making another adapter.

It is a great pump, really convient.
