in this month issue of R C MODELER, thay got a grate reviews on the vigor cs, by john benario.... he has some construction tips in it and photo in his reviews.... reading it make me want to go out and buy one !!!! i want to be just like mark ( get your today at your new stand) p.s. have you seen the new fs-91s o.s. engines ???with the microprocessor, fuel injected and do's windows,,, ha,ha, so $700.00 for a new engines,, i wate for the heli one to come out this look like it's going to be another fun summer

Vigor?

I read on Rick's site that JR wants to get more Vigors in the marketplace,(read higher sales) they are going to lower some parts prices to make them "cheaper to crash". That might work if they are closer in prices to some other fine helis.

They gave an example of a seesaw that was $42 and now is $22!
I doubt that all other parts will be cut in half,but, we can hope.

JR refuses to take a proactive approach to all its products. From their very first heli release they have played this game with the consumers. That is, they release it with a price that is too high, but not high enough that it won't be purchased by some. Then they lower the price after a while and the people who originally purchased it are left feeling like a "chump". They are getting to the point now where they have alienated enough consumers to impact sales. The price reduction will be great for the existing owners, and it will sell some additional helis, but probably not as many additional helis as they would like. There are too many really good helis out there for around $700.00US for the Vigor CS to compete at. There would be even more MA Fury's out there if more were avalable. I predict that even fewer Vigors will be sold as more Fury's are available for sale. The vigors do fly great as all the helicopters do in that price range. Unless JR reduces the kit price to the $700.00 range I don't see them increasing sales as they are expecting. And don't even get me started on the JR radio situation with the 10X.

Nothing is "wrong" with it per say, and it is merely a subjective observation as there is no wrong or right as far as preference goes. But the lack of switch assignability, the lack of other aircraft types as options( the mixing gets to be a pain in the a@@), the comparative lack in the number of 3 position switches, and there is something about the trainer function or lack thereof, the lack of a Synthesized version. This issue has been beat to death in other posts so I won't go into details. The bottom line is that it is a personal preference and if 100 people are given both radios and then given a list of functions that they need to complete on both radios, the Futaba 9Z will be able to do it with more flexibility than the 10X. If Multiplex and Graupner would give a darn about the US market, and change their radios slightly and do some marketing ,the other three mfgrs. would be in big trouble as these radios offer quite an impressive feature list.
Radio manufacturers in general are a contemptable bunch, they treat us like the gov't treats us in regards to UFO's. That is that there is a lot more that they could give us, but they choose to do it in small doses at a time.(there goes my credibility
