e-Century Hummingbird - Swift > Battery Or Motor problem?

Hi, I've been runnning my bird for about amonth now... and the bird doesn't fly as high as it used to..... but I dun get it.... I am using the NEW 370 motor and I dun notice a drop in rpm....... Is it the batteries? The lift only sucks on my two 800mAh seeds... and I dun think my motor is dead.... cos I am running them with da heat sinks now..... For best performance what should I do? I normally charge up my batteries then wait till I am free to fly..... Does this mean that the voltage drops while it waits? Do I HAve to use them off the charge hot?

You are supposed to allow your batterys to cool before you use them, do you use a fast charger to charge them up ? Because they are really not supposed to get that hot while charging. Fast chargeing will reduce you battery life, the Hummingbird cells should not really be charged more that 0.6A

NiMH batts do lose charge over time. I suggest you charge them and wait a few minutes to let any heat dissipate and then fly them. At least that way you can eliminate one thing.

I notice that these days Johnny Yong at SHS is selling LiPoly batts. If you really think it is a bettery problem, it might be time to upgrade. Remember though that you will need a charger for LiPoly batts...DON'T use a standard NiCad/NiMH charger. The batts will explode!
I have LiPoly packs I have set up in a 2 series and 2 parallel setup and the heli flies forever!
Hopefully some of this helps.

I don't charge my batts when they are hot!!!! and I have got 800mAh batts too... I will try building a resistor board as a discharger......
