Mike 99,
yeah I just read that in the search I did, but I was hoping for something more comprehensive - what screwdrivers I need, glues, grease or anything else? Or is that it - just ball link pliers for the build?

cheers

Here's a list to get started. I just threw a couple of the brand names in there of the equipment that I used. There are varying opinion on what brands are the best, what works and what doesn't, etc. For the field box, same things go. Each person had their own list of things that they like to bring in their field box. I have shared some of the items below that I feel are important

Building

Pitch Gauge - Vario
High Point Balancer for Rotor head assembly - Dubro
Spare mainshaft to be used with HP balancer
Ball Link Pliars
Ball Link resizing Tool
SwashPlate Level
Flybar lock, or a couple wooden match stricks for locking flybar
Blade Balancer - Koll Rotor pro
Good quality Allen Wrench set
Small metric ruler
Fuel Line
Loctite
Small wire ties and/or clips
Battery Charger
Good quality foam wrapping for all of your radio gear. I used one of the velcro wraps that hold everything to the radio tray. It works great.
Of course you'll need your receiver, battery, on board radio gear, gyro, etc.
On board Voltage Monitor (Gem 2000)
Tracking Tape
Copy of Ray's Authoritative Heli Manual

One other thing...If you can swing it, I would get a good tach. I don't have one but will be getting one real soon.

Field Box

Glow Ignitor
Fuel Pump
Battery to run fuel pump
Glow Plug Wrench
Starter (I just use a 12V cordless drill) and starter shaft
Small screw driver for Low Speed Needle adjustment
After Run Oil
Spare plastic ball links
Tweezers
Needle nose pliars
Extra Glow Plugs
Pen
Paper containing all of your carb and pitch settings, etc.
Some things mentioned above in set-up
Pitch gauge
Allen Wrenches
