I suspect that that @125000 price tag includes the "Autonomous Flight System" whcih flies the thing for you.

Yeah they are big but how do they 3D??

Flyboy,

Do they give any reason why they must be purchased in pairs??
Do they get lonley ? Do they have counter rotating blades so that one cleans up the rotorwash o fthe other ?
Seems strange that a company like yamaha would dictate to their customer like that . (That attitude is more reserved for the 'exclusive' companies like ferrari)

And to SENECA - the dump joke was really lame. Smacks of jealousy. Rather say "wow those are real cool heli's - I wish I had a picture of them in my gallery"

Yes to all the above.

I suspect it has to do with laibilitys and always having a back up to fly.

This is a similar style, but notice a key difference............The dump ends up in front, with this technique.

I was in conversation with US Yamaha Robotics (thats who handles them in the US) I was told about $90,000US for 1 unit. No UAV package. That comes in another package that has 2 heli's and they are asking $1,000,000, but price is negotiable the man said when I asked why the big discrepency. Heck, I can get a microwave triangulation system used in the industrial marine business for less than $200,000, its accurate to 6" over 45 miles. I suspect that the farmer needed more practice with nose in.

I lost my infamous tag line.
