e-Century Hummingbird - Swift > GWS EDP-50 -what cap on motor?

Hello All,
Does anyone know what type/rating the capacitor is on the EDP-50 (High Athourity Tail) motor? Can I get one at Radio Shack?

I was in the process of constructing a new t-motor mount for both of my HB's and I dropped the motor. Of course (murphy's law) it landed square on the cap and shattered it into dust particles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Regards,
Anthony

PS if the rummors about the CP HB are true Century will sell a S-load. (I know they are testing a prototype. The rummors are about the type of CP unit) Hint see my gallery for a clue.

The capacitor on the stock motor is 473 picofarads. I understand the cap is only to prevent arcing on motor startup, as a buffer for 'sudden' current. That being the case , I wonder if you can't use the same capacitor.

I used the same spec on my Mabuchi rk370 and its sweet!

The Cap is really for Noise supression. DC motors are very noisey in the RF and voltage. This is due to the brushes sparking on the commutator. The cap passes noise to the voltage return and to ground but it will block DC voltages. THat is why there is a cap from + to - and from each terminal to ground. WIth out the caps, the noise will pass through the recv via the wires connecting the speed control to the recv. Bad News.......
