This looks like it would help in the weight issue over the bigger motor one. Anyone used this set-up? If so, does it work?

I haven't tried it, but it might not generate enough thrust. It is the same B2C motor that is supposed to be a good replacement for the original tail motor. The GWS geared versions with this motor generates 30 to 50 grams of thrust, but direct drive generates 23 or less. I have an EDP-20 on order, and I might try it direct drive before I put the pinion gear on it.
