| Here is some info sent to me by Andrew Powell (CSM),this helped me to at least run v10 from my A drive. It works great, no problems, just loads slower. I'm not in such a hurry to get it loaded on my hard drive now, but if anyone makes any progress please post.
Awesome to be simming again,
Neil
Yes if you want to run it off of your hard disk then you need a FAT32 formatted hard disk or partition. The XP patch works OK but the other big issue is your graphics card. It may not be VESA compatible under Windows XP. If you have access to a machine with Win95/98 on it you can create a boot disk, (format a: /s) from the DOS prompt. You can then use this disk to boot your XP machine without starting XP. You can then transfer to the hard disk and run the sim, (however it needs to be FAT32 on your hard disk). This is the most reliable way of using the sim and gets around all of the XP related problems. If you don't want the FAT 32 partition or have only NTFS then you can copy all the sim files to the Boot Disk (leave off the info folder) and run the sim directly off the boot disk. It takes a little longer to load but runs just fine from there.
