I found that the50 full kit contained a solid pin for the tail shaft gear, the instructions and my 30 have a roll pin. I didn't feel comfortable using the solid pin. Anyone find this in their kit?

Hi

My R50 kit also had a solid pin, but you also get a grub screw that screws into the end of the tail shaft to secure the pin from moving. The instructions do not show this.

Let us know how the Raptor 50 Flies. What engine do you have installed?

I have installed a Webra 52 AAR engine into my R50, which should provide plenty power. I will be starting her up this weekend, after I fit the pipe and manifold. I wanted to use the stock muffler but the mounting holes on the Webra did not line up, so I have purchased a Hatori 60 sized manifold and a Hatori 54 pipe.

Generally I think the R50 kit is good value for money?.

Tail Shaft

Thanks, now I notice the threaded hole on the tail shaft. I ended up pulling the pin and replacing it with the roll pin. I'll wait until a repair and start using the grub screw.
