Just got a Falcon SE II, and put it together. I got everything I need just waiting on the 401 gyro. I was curious where some of you put it on your Falcons. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am pretty excited about getting this in the air after hearing everybody's reviews on this machine. I put an OS 50 SXH in it, so I guess it's going to be a rocket I ordered the carbon fiber tailboom servo mount which will be holding a Futaba's digital high speed servo, I forgot the number. But anyways will stock tail blades be ok for someone who is just going to hover and walk it around for now? Thanks for your help!!!

gyro position

Move the switch to the bottom of the tray area and mount the gyro on the RX tray behing the throttle/pitch servos.

P.S. with the OS50 you will only need about 80% throttle to pull 11 degrees of pitch at 1800 plus on the 600mm blades. Using 100" throttle will and setting a pitch to harness the available power at 1800 Rotor speed will require a lot more then 11 degrees....that will bring the blades closer to the stall AOA.

You will really enjoy this little rocket. Stable, fast and potent. Great in an auto also.

Yeah

Especialy if the TR servo is mounted aft.
Clears up some more room in that area.

OBTW
Thinking of getting me one of those Falcon SEs with OS .50 engine.
I desire to run it on 15% fuel. What exhaust system is working good for yawl?

Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated. I'll let you know of the outcome. Alvin, I ordered the Speed Torpeedo muffler from Heli World. Its Century's muffler to fit the exhuast fairings on the canopy. It is a high volume muffler, I think the parts number is cn3033a, it's for a 46 anyway. I believe Oldfart has the same muffler on his Falcon. It seems to work just fine, and quiet as can be.
