Hi Brian, welcome back!

I got mine directly from the manufacturer to evaluate, to see if I wanted to carry them on my business website.

I have a shipment of the units coming in the next few weeks and will be putting them up on my website.

First, the flicker is much reduced. It's there if you look for it, but much less so than the original glasses. Second, the sunglass portion is less wavy. You'll find the glasses much cheaper through a distributor so that would be the best way to go.

I will post international, just keep in mind that this adds about $25 to the overall cost. Hunt around for a local distributor first to save yourself a bit of cash, otherwise drop me an email!

why not use an lcd monitor from a video camera? Then mount it to some nice glasses like the eyetop setup?

May be you can take out the LCD and the needed electronic part of the videocam to make it run. I can not

Has anyone used eyetops with a standard video camera? Like a Sony:

If you get the eyetop glasses item, what else is needed to provide remote viewing from a still camera?

For example, my still camera is a Canon A80. It has live feed jacks( I can view images/video with it live and in playback mode ).

I am guessing a Tx is needed that plugs into my camera ( with additional batt. pack ) and transmits downtop the glasses...correct?

Is a Rx needed for the eyetop glasses to see what the A80 is seeing?

Basically, my question is:

"What else is needed once I get the Eyetop Glasses?"

I don't have one but have looked into the details. The control/battery box has an RCA video input jack. You could use a video downlink like the one found here.

As I said in the PM to dean
It has received poor reviews, but when you look at the cost of the set, and the use that I myself put to them, they work pretty well and do all I ask of them.

I only use them to frame a shot in a one man operated setup, I don't fly POV.

I have adapted mine to use Oakley lenses (Post here on RR somewhere under my name) and it makes a huge difference. The stock lenses aren't that good for viewing a heli up high, they also leave a large gap round the edge for light to get into, the Oakleys make a huge difference in that respect.

I use them with the Balck Widow downlink, dean if you need any more details email me I can send over some pics to help you out putting it together.

considering eyetop's for stills for aerial photography framming

Hey guys, thanks for sharing your thoughts and suggestions.

I am very seriously considering a pair of eyetop's for shooting stills. I am running the Voyager 50 E and for what I require it for, from what I have read it would work out fine once I have set it all up.

I am looking into the Rx and Tx modules I require to run the system and batt. packs to run it.
