I understand. Trust me I really wish this deal didn't go bad. I did get my receiver, but unfortunately it wasn't working. The receiver isn't the only thing I'm waiting for from Nasscar][. Keep in mind Hobert is on line almost everyday, in fact I have sent him PM's when he was! The PM tracking tells you when the person was last on-line! I am very patient, but being so ignorant is very disrespectful, and that I have no patients for!
oh, btw: Nasscar][ Last online:07:38 PM 09-07-2003

Anyways, below are all PM communications between me and nasscar][ you be the judge, do I really have something to be upset about?

BTW, unless I hear from Hobert, I will post this in main forum, maybe I'll get some help there.
Thanks RR.

Enjoy!

Once again thanks for the business.

patternfly wrote on 07-30-2003 04:13 PM
Hobert, consider the Sceadu sold, also, would you be willing to sell the remaining receiver as a part of the deal for $60? I would send you $340 for the whole deal.
Thanks,
Mike.

Nasscar][ wrote on 07-30-2003 07:05 PM
I can do this for $355.00 shipped. Rember that I will be taking a loss thanks to paypal.

Enjoy!

Hobert, for now I'll just take the Heli, I'll probably be back for another receiver soon if you still have it. I will be sending you the payment sometime today or tomorrow am.
Please be sure to package it well, I don't trust shipping companies.
Thanks again,
Mike.

Your welcome, also look in the sceadu 50 manual. I left the set screws for the paddles. (opps)

ENJOY!

patternfly wrote on 08-06-2003 08:43 AM
Hobert, have you received my message regarding the on-board glow? Considering I'm using TT engines, this gadget is very useful to me, and was a significant factor in choosing your heli when I was looking for 50 size machine.
Thanks,
Mike.

patternfly wrote on 08-10-2003 04:38 AM
Hobert,
Unfortunately, the receiver has some problems, it intermittently locks up for about a second sometimes longer, we have tried everything from going to different frequencies, using it with different transmitters and even changed the antenna to the "normal" wire type.
I am certain it's not my TX because it works fine with my other PCM receivers.
Please send me your return address so I can ship it out to you, if you still have the other receiver I'd like to give it a try.

Thank you,
Mike.

thanks
Mike,
oh, and one more question, what is that spindle installed in this machine? it doesn't look like the original unit? just curious

Nasscar][ wrote on 08-14-2003 01:41 AM
Hello Mike, I'm using the Quick Spindle. And I'll keep a look out on that rx. Sorry to the bad deal.

patternfly wrote on 08-14-2003 07:14 AM
Hobert, the deal wasn't bad, I know if you knew aout a problem with this rx you would not have sent it. I did not send the whip antena back with it, so when you send the other one just send it to me without.
Thanks,
Mike.
BTW, are you going to IRCHA?

patternfly wrote on 08-20-2003 04:44 AM
Hobert, I have not heard from you in a while, did you have the chance to send out the receiver? Also, I've never heard from you regarding the on-board glow driver that should have came with the sceadu. Please let me know, the receiver is keeping me grounded, I would like to get it back asap if possible.
Thank You,
Mike.

patternfly wrote on 08-24-2003 08:33 PM
Please respond to my previous pm's and e-mails, I have not heard from you in a while and I'm starting to be a little concerned.
Please let me know what we're doing about the receiver and the on board glow driver.
Thanks,
Mike.

Nasscar][ wrote on 08-24-2003 08:44 PM

I just got back in town late this evening. I will send tye glow out to you but I received a message from model services that they will not honor the warranty on the rx because of the modification and opening the case. I have to decide on how we can resolve this problem.

Hobert

patternfly wrote on 08-25-2003 05:55 AM
Hobert, what modification are they talking about? installing a new antenna wire? I have done this many times before, never had a problem with warranty. Let me know who you spoke with and I will take care of that, I have few friends at model services. I also can't beleive this unit is still under warranty, afterall, it is an absolete model
Anyways, please let me know asap, the sceadu is still grounded because of this, it's been a while now. I need to know if I should look for a new receiver.
Thanks,
Mike.

patternfly wrote on 08-25-2003 05:55 AM
Oh, and with all due respect, let's get this resolved before you leave town again, I really can't wait another week.
Thanks again,
Mike.

patternfly wrote on 08-28-2003 08:42 PM
Hobert, I did not receive the on-board glow driver yet. I cannot wait for to resolve this receiver issue any longer, it's been over a month now, just send the thing back and I'll have futaba service it. I am very disappointed; after all, this receiver wasn't working when I got it. So before you leave anywhere ship both the receiver and the glow driver to me so we can have this deal done and over with.
Mike.

patternfly wrote on 09-02-2003 06:36 AM
Hobert, what is going on??? I did not receive the on-board glow or any updates on what's going on with the receiver! I am a very patient man, but this is taking a little bit too long! Now I do know from the past that even "on the road" you still get e-mails, that's why I've been sending them to you.
Please respond.

patternfly wrote on 09-05-2003 03:43 AM
Hobert, would you please respond to my messages? this is getting quite ridicules! I still have not received the glow unit nor have I had any info on the receiver? I hate to be a pain in the ass but this deal already became one! Look, I can't afford to throw money left and right for receivers, the damn sceadu is still grounded because of this! If you can't get me the receiver please send the money back so I can get another one.
Thank you,
Mike.

What we need is a "the good the bad and the ugly" list. The good guy list is a pain in the a$$ to navigate plus there is no bad guy list. Maybe we could convince Mark to add it.

2 Lessons Learned

First of all Guys I have to admit that I did receive all emails, etc. But I didn't have time to deal with the politics at hand.

LET ME EXPLAIN.

First of all I'm a man of my word, I say what I mean and I mean what I say. If I sell you an Item you better believe that I will follow it thru either way. Business is business.

But when you void the warranty on an item and try to return it, etc., then there is little that I can do for you.
I orginally sold this and another rx prepairing for my new Sceadu 50 Evo with Syn rx, etc. (the works) "you know how we do-it" Full throttle.

But to my suprise I received a rx that had been opened and COLD soldered that didn't smell all that great. Actually being the easy going and fair guy that I am was will to take the "F" and move on and not conduct business with this guy because of the modification that was done, but I had asked people at my field as well as Model Services and the urged me to just returned the rx and kindly explain the current problem.

PROBLEM SOLVE. I admit that It's my fault for the delay but I have to handle my business (work thing, that is) and never let your better-half mail something for you. hehehe . . . .

I have not vented and I will no longer respond to any open comments.

ENJOY!

David I said that I was thru with this thread, but I guess I wasn't clear with everything.

He Opened the case and COLD SOLDERED another antenna wire on the rx. Orginally I use revolution boom antenna's.

If you could have smelled that rx case you would agree something was fishy.

THE END!

Cold soldered the antenna??? Smelled the RX? Wait just a second here...

By trade, I am a printed circuit design engineer, I do know how to solder wires, and trust me, my solder joints look much better than original factory job. Where I work, all of our products adhere to Class III IPC specifications, which btw, are aerospace/medical specs. I don't know what you mean by “cold soldered”? To be very specific, I’ve used Alpha No-clean Solder / Flux, and Ersa Digital 80 soldering iron set at 615 degrees. Where’s the “cold part”? Besides, please explain to me what a cold soldering is? All I can tell you that there is such thing as “cold solder joint” but this simply means the solder joint is not making a connection between a device and PCB.

Anyways, If modifications to the antenna were to void the warranty, then I believe the use of your Revolution Whip antenna would void it in the first place. This receiver is no longer manufactured, thus I’m having a hard time believing it’s still covered under warranty.

Now, I was never going to mention this, but I am beginning to understand what kind of a person you are. The Sceadu I have purchased from you was in absolutely terrible shape! It arrived very poorly packaged, thrown in a box with some extra paper; the tail boom has been bent, probably from shipping. Most setscrews throughout the machine are stripped, not to mention the canopy that has dents and cracks from crashes. On top of everything else the machine has been completely covered in fuel, you didn’t even take a minute to wipe some of it of. But, I have not complained about any of this once!

You’re still calling yourself “a man of his word?”
