I'm looking for an experienced RC helicopter flyer that can set up my Raptor 30 V2 and get it ready for flight. It's all assembled. It needs adjustments and trimming. I’m also using the Futaba 9CHP radio. I'm willing to pay $40/hour. I'm in Morris County in Northern New Jersey. If you're interested, please send me a PM.

Testimonial

To the moon,

I strongly advise you say 'yes' to Jeff (ja1010). Jeff is helping me out, he helped me set up my 30v2 Raptor on Saturday on my Futaba 9CHP. He did in 45 minutes what it would have taken me three day, 12 beers, 2 broken knuckles, and a damaged wall .

Then he gave me a flying demo.... Holy Crap. He can definately walk the walk.

And he is a nice guy.

(Ok Jeff, stop blushing! I'll see you this weekend.)

Thank You

I knew that guys would offer to help and refuse the $$.

The best way to repay the guy who helped you learn is to teach someone new to the hobby. That way we keep helping each other and get new blood into the hobby, too.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the empty promises they make on here and then ditch the person that's asking for help. Shame on you! Ja 10 10 do you always stand people up like that? And Aces are wild, thanks for ignoring my E-mails. If you got offended when I asked you if you're familiar with Real Flight then I apologize if it hurt your ego. But I was just trying not to assume that are familiar. But, if you decided not to responde because you have no idea how to set up a Futaba radio then I totally understand.

I will get the help I need. But, it won't be from people on this forum.

Thanks again!

Am I one of the "waste of Nitro" NJ pilots or one of the "allowed to live" pilots?

I know how he feels.. he busts his butt to help someone else, and they don't appreciate it, or give attitude, or worse. You're tryin to be a NICE GUY and they treat ya like dirt. I understand. I helped a guy and after 100% settin up his machine he changes it back the next day to a horrible setup. My situation is not nearly as bad as what you experienced, but still, I try to help over and over again and its just back to how it was. Sigh.. NJ suck, I wanna move out to Cali. and SCREW Car insurance here, while I'm bitchin!

Wish there was something inspiring to say...
At least we're tryin!

And Aces are wild, thanks for ignoring my E-mails.

Ok, now you've made me sad. Ignoring your e-mails? When I get home from work, I'll post the entire e-mail conversation we had to RunRyder, to cover my own butt. You said lets meet up. I said fine, fridays and weekends are best for me, let me know when is good. that was it. thats where it ended. Don't get on MY case for not telling you when you have freetime on fridays and weekends. Ya know, that upsets me, I try to be nice, I try to make time for you, I'm all ready to help ya out, and you tell me that its MY fault that we never met up? you tell me its ME who dropped the ball? I'm not gonna yell and curse, but man, c'mon..

I'll post the e-mails up for a jury of my RR peers to decide. If I'm the jerk, then I'll take full blame, apologize and continue to make my best effort to help you. If you're the jerk then shame on you for blaming me. We'll see... just discouraging man, it really is...

Hey guys, I just got onto this thread and I just couldn't let it slide without adding some pretty important facts...
Ja1010 has been around the hobby for some time. He's an experienced flier and has a lot to offer the hobby. If anyone is in doubt about his motives or his honest desire to help people new to the hobby, I would ask all those who have been on RR, Rotary and other forums to think about a kid who went by the name of RCFIREWINGS amongst others. As you all know, this person made post after post to the exasperation of all. Ja1010 was one of those who was stood-up and put out the most. IN SPITE OF ALL THIS, ja1010 gave the kid EVERY CHANCE, and time after time, forgave and forgot. At a time when we were all pulling our hair out, ja1010 got over it and finally was able to make contact with RCFIREWINGS and after many weeks of being stood up, he was finally able to convince the kid to make an appearance.
The kid was able to see first hand and take the first steps in the hobbly under the experienced guidance of ja1010. Something which could have only happened because of Jeff's willingness to let bygones be bygones and give the kid a break and another chance.
He really is trying to help, and refuses all payment for his time and when someone tries to help others for free and gets abused, don't you think it's normal that that person would get hot under the collar??
C'mon guys, those experienced heli pilots who have been around the forums know the RCFIREWINGS story and can attest to the honest efforts of ja1010. Getting abused in spite of all this must be frustrating as hell.....

All I have to say is...

Try driving South on the NJ Parkway Saturday at about 2:30. You'll find EVERY Idiot in NJ right there sitting in miles upon miles upon miles of traffic with ya. I don't know where all these idiots come from... I don;t know where they store these idiots at night, I dont know how they can drive so badly, I don't know how people can be so damn stupid.. but man, Parkway South Sat 2:30 in the summers... you'll find EVERY NJ /NY Bayonne, elezibeth, Edison, BENNY there is to find...

Damn NJ...
