| Its nice after more than a month, almost 600 dollars to actually see my Hornet fly. Frustrated with batteries and such, I made a training cord and connected my hornet to a 13 amp 12 volt power supply (12 would have been a little rough on a stock ms motor so I lowered it to 9.5). Well as you can imagine the head did not bog down as collective was added. Well hover was kinda ugly, and pretty dangerous at some points, as I was flying with a 6 foot cord and in a 10 by 10 by 8 room. I prob should lengthen the cord. Actually tethered hover isn't such a bad way to go if I only want to hover for a little. Flight characteristics are pretty shaky though. I better save up for some impending crashes. I still have the training gear on, I couldn't imagine a flight without them, it just seems too unstable. Is it suppose to be this wild. Also I basically have my gain on my 240 turned all the way down (minus a small amount) otherwise I get wag. I have the servo horn at the shortest hole also. What are others using for their gain. |
