I had a friend of mine who was a bow hunter give me seval of his broken carbon arrow shafts. I saw someone else post here that he used some of thoes cheep shelf holders, the ones that go in thoes peg holes on cheap cabinets. Anyway, the arrow shafts are 1/4 in and thoes shelf holders worked great. I now have a set of carbon booms that cost me two dollars to make. I called my local bow shop and ask how much to buy more shafts and he said 5 dollars, but he had a bunch more broken ones I could have.

I don't understand something.
The Arrows are 1/4" dia and those I know work great for boom support but you're saying there are some shelf holders made out of carbon fiber that work for the tail booms? If so where do you get those and what dia are those?

No they are plastic they have a dowel type pin that fits into the arrow shaft they have a flat piece that you drill a hole in to mount to the side of fulse and tail. Wish I had a picture to show ya but if you come up with something better let me know. Wish I could find the post the other guy did. He used a metal rod instead of the arrow shaft.
