Ya, that was really fun.. The pilot asked if I wanted to get some shots from the air and I jumped and the chance. Plus he did not want the helicopter on the ground just incase the fire got to large. I got some great footage from the air of the fire and the field. I was filming for the thunderbirds website to. Im going to make a small video clip of the thunderbird field so they may post it on there site. ( I was keeping the fire and smoke out of those passes. ) Got about 14 minutes from the air.
I was suprised on how fast he was able to fire up the heli- about 3 minutes.. That was fun.
Raymond, thanks for the use of the photos on our site. I put a link to your www.helidriver.com website. I'll be posting the others later tonight.
Im working really fast on the DVD this will be one of the best yet.
