mnm2406 Senior Heliman Location: Singapore
| CSM 400
Im using one on my raptor 30 with hitec servo HS 625MG. Here's how I
set it up..
If its for your first heli your Step 1 would be on mechanics side (ie push rod lenght, pitch slider, servo location (mine was installed at the back).
Using CSM 400, location should away from at least vibrating part of heli, (mine was at the back perpendicular to main shaft) use the supplied sticker/foam from CSM.
I assumed that the mechanical set up is completed and are now for gyro connection to servo and rx. I used gear channel for NM and HH, check by connecting the rudder servo to rudder channel of the rx directly then push the throtlle stick from low to high position to see if any movement from rudder servo if there is you have to inhibit this mixes.
Now rudder servo to gyro, gyro gain to gear channel, gryo rudder to rudder channel rx.
Auto routine set up, power on, toggle gear switch back and fourht twice notice that the rudder servo zip back and fourth, the two leds on the gyro side.. one is red and the other is yellow/green..red is for power (batt), yellow/green is your gyro reversing... move the stick left ot right the lead will be on to off mode that means the gyro reversing function has taking place, again toggle gear swicth to adjust/measure your max travel of rudder servo, move the full stick to the right make sure it does nt rub with casing and confirmed by gear switch once do the same to the right. once it is done toggle the switch again. This time your rudder servo will zip back and fourth and stop at the centre and complete your auto routine set up.
Determine switch for NM and HH, move stick to left for 2 sec if the tail pitch stay then its HH, if it's returned to the centre after releasing the stick it NM.
Gryo reversing.. make sure you have the correct reversing.. I've done mine this way. Power on, lift the heli by holding the rotor head and the tail, move the boom back and fourth notice the gyro sensing, if you move the tail to your left w/o rudder stick inputs the gyro/rudder servo should be in the opposite direction.
Gryo gain can be adjusted both NM and HH via gear ATV on your TX as well as the rate.
Hope this help, |
