You guys and gals have to rember this is an Experimental Drag Raceing machine it is not intended for 3D! at least not at this time!
The hardest thing will be the Launch!
I have bent spindles on my Ergo CCPM Racer with a hard launch.
Onece you get past that its not to bad.
Yes a hard landing will prob break the frames, Thats the chance you take. Drag Raceing Helies in not for the Timmed of Heart or Wallet!

TEST DATA on the RB Innovations Super Charger

Hi,

Ken Jennings here.

We (myself and GMRO) did a fairly comprehensive test using two Raptor 50's at a fun fly in Akron about a month ago.

Both were my machines and both were set up EXACTLY the same except for one had the RB Innovations.com supercharger installed.

I flew one machine and Ron Osinski - (Team JR and Damm good pilot!) flew the other.

In Time to climb, the Super charged heli was faster almost every time.

The stock machine was faster in a drag race,

BUT

After getting home and thinking about it, both machines were set up the same?#$%@#$??????.

I started increasing pitch on both machines.

The Stock Machine started sagging at about 11° of Pitch

The Super Charged heli went clear to 14° of Pitch before a noticable sag was appearant.

Yea, Same blades on both machines and both have a 9251 digital servo on the collective.

Both machines are also using a completely Stock OS .50 running on 30% Cool Power on a Muscle pipe with a governor (GV-1) set for 2000 RPM head speed.

I spoke to Ron yesterday about getting together and repeating the testing using these new parameters, hopefully we can do it soon.

BTW , several items to consider.

#1 The belt does not slip.

#2 There is an internal liner in the air boost line that keeps it from collapsing.

#3 I have 3'd mine a lot and it really works well.

#4 CWM, - Work has me tied up and I cannot make it to IRCHA this year, so you best get there and win at the national level while you can, Next year, BUDDY LOOK OUT!!!!!

(just had to throw that one in!)

helloooo

what's up with doggin some one out because they're interested in experimenting / i guess i'll have to dive into this and go ahead and invite the beating for my project {raven} 50 except iv'e put a ys 61 in it,,
love extremely fast verts and hole shots,, that is after she's flown a bit and i'm sure all of her settings are correct ie idle ect... no hunting,, silky smooth,,, then i get to play firm believer in safety first.

cant wait to get her in the air... after that maybe i'll be able to get some sound sleep,, till then back to tossing thinking and turning...

cwm keep posting very interested how she handles / with the supercharger and how well, the "gutted " frame holds up,,
back when i did planks gutted a many all flew extremely well // no flexing issues but they sure didn't like a hard landing....

I have a few flights on just testing the water so to speak.
It flies very nice I realy like the CCPM and It ballanced perfectly.
I did a few loops and rolls notheing Extream yet.
I hope to give it a good work out this weekend I never realy set up the pitch curves just enough to fly. didnt know if it would last that long!
But I plan on giveing it a set up "ectamy" spelling ? Tonight and beating the piss out of it on Sunday!!
I will let ya know it it holds up.

Well I just got back from the field 110 degrees is to dam hot!!
Any way I got about 3 tanks through it and ended up launching it at 1980 RPM with 14 degrees of positive pitch . It leaps off the ground and pulls hard all the way! It does bog the motor but it keeps pulling and will not die. I did a few vert until I could hardly see it and it will not kill the motor!!!
The only ptob I had wat that the tail case broke on the right side.
Not sure if it was already cracked from the last crash or not.
It still needs some tuneing but it is comeing along!!

CCPM on your Raptor

CWM, Can I ask how you implemented CCPM on your Raptor? Is there a upgrade kit of some sort that allows you to upgrade or is this just a homebrew version?

Well to date it has survived 3 minor crashes and the frames have surived just fine.
I did burn up the motor TT39 .I am in the process of converting to a 50 just waiting for the money to do so.
I am thinking N02 is the the next thing I will try

How can anybody be so quick to judge,,ten years ago I stuffed a small compressor hose in a running engine to see what would happen and the engine screamed,,if this little unit will push more air in the carb you will get more power with out a boubt, Im with you CWM go for it I may get one myself.

I strapped one on my r/c truck about a year ago and it was great for about the first three minutes until it started causing the engine to stall. i tried everything to make it work. i would definitly not put one of these on my chopper! I don`t think this manufacturer knows to much about the r/c nitro engine! I personaly think he`s out to make a quick buck. Sorry just had to add my two cents. Don't waste your money like i did!
