Hey Bob, here are the Specs. This will be built using the American eagle Fuse and the Meister scale wing. Fiberglass cuts down on the build time and actually weighs less.

Length 90"

Wing Span 102" ( 2 piece wing )

Wing Area 1685 sq. in.

Weight 28-34 lbs.

Engine DA85, ZDZ 80 Super Single or ZDZ 80 Inline twin.

Shindin Air retracts with retractable tail wheel

10-12 servos depending on flap setup

This thing has a 7 1/2 inch Spinner.... Wow

PS Anyone want to buy a brand new DA100 CHEAP ?? LMK... I need a engine for this bird.

I had a maiden myself yesterday, up at the New Paltz HS. I took my Polks DC 3 up for a spin. It flew pretty good on the stock motors with 9.6 volts and 9 inch props. It was twitchy tho, and very much wanted to climb. I had to use 16 ounces of battery pack to balance this tail heavy model. I don't know where Polks came up with their all up weight under 5 pounds. Mine got to about 6.5. With full nose down trim I only had to hold moderate forward stick to keep it flying level. She dropped a wing about 8 feet off the ground and I thought it was all over, but I managed to get it more or less level and the damage was limited to one broken landing gear.

Spent a few hours with Darryl and Ali up at the Walden field and had a couple of flights with the Profile Pitts. Ali was doing his usual tear up the skies heli flying, and Darryl's new Taylorcraft is gorgeous!

We need to get a line of guys to walk the runway to pick up sticks and look things over. I thought the runway looked pretty good for coming out of the winter. I'm sure there are a few new ruts and bumps, but all in all, not bad. Before you know it, we will need the mower. I will check it out one of these days when it gets a little warmer, but if anyone else wants to get to it before I do, I won't be offended.

Field cleanup fun fly!

Who's with me this Saturday 10 am for a little field work? Nothing strenuous. We'll walk the runway and pick up debris, mainly sticks blown in from the trees. Maybe kick down a few ruts and smooth them over.

Bring rakes, hoes, and flying machines. The cleanup shouldn't take more then an hour, then it's up, up, and away! Supposed to be nice out.

10 AM saturday. Who's coming? Post it here.
