Note: You really had to like Helicopters to fly this baby. It was more like a yo-yo than a helicopter. The O & R engine had a reed valve type induction system on it and it blew more fuel out of the modified carb for glow fuel use than was used to fly the helicopter. You used two crescent wrenches to adjust the pitch, and the blades (Ball Bats) were made out of some real heavy pine type wood. If I forgot any of the undocumented features of this flying machine please feel free to post. OH, by the way most of the pilots flying these babies had to send their engines to Bill Curtis in PA. to get them to run better. Later on Dubro came out with a conversion kit to allow installation of a 60 size airplane engine. The airplane engines had cooling problems and inventors/pilots adapted a "O' Ring driven computer cooling fan type blade mounted on a homemade heat-sink to attempt to cool that HOT 60 engine. I am not sure on the weight but they were REAL heavy.
