If you saw my post where I broke the engine mount on my G230PUH I decided that if I can get a good price on a 231, that I would take this opportunity to go for it!

So who has these in stock in the USA? Where can I get a good price?

Please help a broken heli get back in the air!

Grounted Just when I was starting to have some fun!!

Call Larry Bergen at Bergen RC. 269-445-2060 He is using the 231 on all his helis. I think he wants around $300. I could be off though.

Ricks shows it on their site for $280. Not sure if they have it in stock though.

HeliProz is trying to see if they can find one.

Well, Rick's is losing one more G231PUH!

Thanks for the help everyone!

After tearing apart the engine getting ready to order a new crankcase, I saw some wear that I was surprised to see considering how well my engine was running. So I decided to go with the new G231PUH.

I ordered some new piston rings for the old engine, I'm going to try to get someone to locally fix the engine mount. If it can't be fixed, it still can be used in a plank as the rear engine mounts are still good as I only broke off one side mount which is usually used only in a Heli environment.

Now I'm just waiting for the man/woman in the brown shorts to show up!

Well, I now officially have a bit over a gallon through my G231PUH.

It's running very smooth and seems to have plenty of power!

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions!

Anyone want to buy an old G230PUH with a repaired crankcase and new rings installed?

will G231PUH fin in a RAPTOR 30 Heli ????

I want to get another heli. I like my raptors and would
like to have the next one use a gasoline engine. I would
like to know if the G231PUH will fit in the raptor 30 and
if there are any modification I will have to make to make
it possible...

Any help is appreciated..

hehe Raptor 30, not a chance in hell. You might be able to make a 100% custom frame set for a Raptor 60/90. Gas engines are big and powerful, I would just wait a couple more weeks and see what the Century Gas looks like when it's released.

anything is possible...

BigD, don't be so negative. With the right frame work and gearing, you can fit the gas motor in a Raptor 30. Just mod the head to give up to 90' of pitch and run about 10% throttle. Of course the tail rotor will have to be bigger to counteract the torque and the landing gear and boom will have to be extended. But I think the g23 could swing 550s real well
