stick with woodies

If you asked me, I would tell you to stick with woodies for a while. $50 is the regular price on FRP blades, so it's not a super deal. Without a doubt, they are better blades, but they are twice the cost of good woodies (anything to keep crash $$$ under control is good for a beginner). I flew woodies util just a few months ago when I'd mastered basic aerobatics (loops, rolls, tumbles, 5sec inverted, etc.) I really noticed the difference between woodies and FTP, but only in fast forward flight and hard aerobatics. My 2cents.

Good luck and happy hovering.
