Hi everybody.I took my new Raptor 30 out today and I got a serious wobble when any kind of cyclic input is applied.Blades are NHP's,Paddles are on straight, rotor head/flybar assy balanced.Hovers ok as long as no serious cyclic is applied.Anybody any ideas? Thanks in advance..Kev.

Dancing (wobbling) around is usuly caused by too low a head speed. your need at least 1500. if it is uncontrolable and bounces all around then you need a new pilot

Increased head speed, still does it ,or is it normal for a raptor to wobble when cyclic is applied whilst the heli is still on the ground?

If your Raptor 30 is wobbling while still on the ground you might want to try tightening the main blade hold down screws. Make sure they both are about the same tightness.

wobbles

My R30 wobbles some on the ground but goes away once it lifts off. I`m new and in the hovering stage, but from many posts I have read it is normal. HTH

No,mine doesn't do it in the air either, but only if cyclic is applied whilst it's still on the ground, otherwise its smooth.Strange thing is my nexus doesn't do this

Off a hard surface this is quite normal, off grass you shouldn't see it.

I know what you mean Captain Scarlet. I have a Raptor 30 also and when I shut the engine down and the blades are spinning out and I move the cyclic it does make the helicopter shake, its because the disk is trying to pull against the helicopter but because they arent spinning fast enough they don't do anything but make it have a low frequency shake. Its not a problem, just rev it up and fly.

It does happen on grass with a Raptor 30 and not just concrete, it is worst when you pull back and right cyclic, all it is is thatthe blades are cutting through the air and because the helicopter won't follow the direction of the disk it slaps into the air and vibrates. Its not a problem, just rev it up and fly.
