I was flying my Rap 50 V2 yesterday, and was really having a good time. I was just starting my turn on final and the tail wouldn't go to the right. I tried left tail and had some results. The tail then all of a sudden let go and the heli began the dreaded "death tumble". I hit the throttle hold and tried to right it, but alas, I ran out of sky and blade speed. The victim hit Mother Earth and bounced about 100 feet in the air (Hey it looked that high to me, but I think it was closer to 10 feet) Upon retrieving the remains, the damage wasn't as bad as I had feared, until I got home. I broke both frames, bent all the shafts, fried the landing gear, twisted the boom...etc. My question is how do I find what caused the tail to let go. I tested the servo and it's fine, no stripped gears, I checked. The only thing I can think of is the pushrod came off of the slider arm.

Please help me so I can stop this from happening again

Hey bharkin, Well you know that it has something to do with the tail, I have crashed my Raptor 60 4 times now from the tail turning loose, The frist two were from the brass insert letting go from the plastic yoke, that third crash was the plastic yoke broke, and the fourth crash was from the torque tube broke just in front of the spline insert, I have had nothing but hell with the Raptor tail system, You will need to look everything over really good, it is not likely that the push rod came off, try to put it back on and pull it off, It if is hard to do either way then thats not you problum, I'll will be willing to bet that something went wrong with the tail system itself, brass insert, yoke, did it break the tail up or is it complete??? Just my thought on the tail system's of the Raptor, it is the weakest link in the system....Or that is my own thoughts on the tail system of the raptor, With a driven tail, which the tail turns loose, then it really does'nt matter if you hit throuttle hold or not, because the tail is going to keep turnning untill the blades stop on inpact.....
