Rick,

I'm sorry to hear you're getting no response from ishiimokei. It does take them a few days to get back to you. I think their international person works part time and isn't there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It has taken them a week to respond to me before. Did you ever have any luck with their web-site? I would definitely recommed ordering a couple of spindle and main shafts with the kit.

I use the 600 mm ZigSaw's. They are excellent. They are the first narrow-chord 600 mm blades I've ever been happy with.(narrow chord = 55 mm) I have had the best success with 60 mm chord blades.(I like the NHP 560's/60 mm chord the best) What I found with narrow chord 600 mm blades is that they have a tendency to load up and feel mushy in 3D. I think narrow chord is not good past about 550 unless the blades are extremely stiff.... But blades are very much a "feel-thing" and everyone has a different opinion!!

By the way the Zig Saws are the stiffest blades I've ever used. If you ever have a chance to do a comparison it's amazing what a huge difference there is between them and other carbon blades like NHP, SAB, V-Blades etc.

The blade grips are 14 mm on the Voyager 50 IMZ.

Patrick,

The JR Voyager carbon frames actually list for more than the Ergo 30 CCPM frames!?!(31000Y vs 30000Y) At an exchange rate of 130 Y/$ they would cost you $240 in Japan... The Ergo 30 regular mix frames are available in the US for about $255!!!

Where do you get your parts so cheap? Do you have a link?

Cyberheli looks like they are going to get my money. Stephen seems right on top of things so I'm going to support his shop on this order. He's about a 100.00 higher but I'm willing to pay the extra for prompt service. I can get the KSJ double hold tail pitch lever through the LHS. Looking at your pics of the IMZ I see some nylon spacers between the blades and the blade grips. Is this to make up for a 12mm root on your blades and the 14mm grips? Whats the part #'s for the spindle and mainshaft if you dont mind. I'll have Stephen add them to the order. I wonder if any Ergo parts will interchange for future repairs?

The Zig-Saws are 12 mm and come with that funky spacer...I think it's supposed to make lining up the blade to grip hole easier..

There is no number for the spindle shaft....it just says MC50 and then some Japanese stuff. I just ask for the spindle shaft and hope for the best!. The main shaft is part #60295.

Thanks to Stephen at Cyberheli I now have a Voyager 50 IMZ on the way. He's also shipping the carbon bottom plate the aluminum tail boom holders a extra main shaft and a extra feathering shaft. The part # for the feathering shaft Shephen said is # 84022. I'm going to order a KSJ Double hold Tail Pitch Lever from the local hobby shop. The # you gave for it is KSJ 689 is this correct? I looked it up and it lists for a Vigor or a Ergo 60. Same # can fit the Voyager 50 too right? KSJ loves this item. It's over a 120 bucks. :-(

As far as main blades I would think the kit doesn't come with blades so I'm going with 600 V-Blades. HeliProz only lists 600's with a 12mm root. I may have to find some spacers somewhere or have them order me a pair of blade straight from Vic at V-Blades with a 14mm root. Spacers sound much easier. I'll need to track down a set.... 4mm bolts for the blade grips correct? I really like my V-Blades on my CS.

What size tail rotor blades does the IMZ 50 use? I might as well get a set of carbon fiber blades for the tail when I call HeliProz for the V-blades. Thanks for all your input Florian!

Hey Florian

I looked at the KSJ689 tail pitch lever on Horizon's website and it says it's to used only with the aluminum tail case only # JRP960325. Does the IMZ come with the aluminum tail case? I seen in your pics, it looks as if your IMZ has one. That’s a bonus if it does. A saving of another 100 bucks.

Florian,

I am sorry for missleading you, I was 100% sure that It was JR frames, but I later found out that it was NHP frames. (I didnt even know they did frames )

Rick,

The IMZ does come stock with the aluminum tail gear case.

I use 85 mm NHP tail blades.(They are cut 105's) The tail holds great with excellent backwards flight characteristics. The kit comes with the standard Ergo plastic tail blades.

The main blade grip bolts are 4mm and the spacers are really no problem. I have them on just about all my helis because I fly primarily NHP and ZIGSAW.

Thanks for the spindle part number!

That's great.
I'll call the LHS and have him place an order for the tail pitch lever. I have never seen or never noticed those main blade spacers before online. Do you have a part # or an outlet for them? Are they available by themselves or do they come with the main blades? Thanks for your help and all the info. The IMZ looks like a excellent heli.

Florian,
Are parts hard to get for the IMZ? I like the looks of the heli and wanted to buy a Voyager 50 but the IMZ is the way to go. I am just a little affraid of the parts availability.

Florian should have good knowledge but I'm hoping and counting on that some parts will interchange with it's US cousin. Cybeheli should have anything needed. You can get parts in 5 days from Cyberheli at great prices. I'm a LHS supporter when possible but Horizon chose not to import the IMZ version. I can’t see why. Looking at the additional items you get over the standard Voyager It's a pretty easy choice to make going with the IMZ. Cyberheli is great and Stephen's customer service is outstanding!

Gerns,

Many of the parts for the Voyager IMZ will be hard to get because they'll only be available in Japan. However, I think in Japan parts availability will be fine. Shipping is just expensive!

The unique parts for the IMZ are the main frames, the push-pull for the servos, the main rotor head, the main rotor shaft, the spindle shaft, the clutch pinion, the tail drive pinion, the split gears, the HG auto unit and the canopy. The tail gear box is the HG version but is also available in the US. There are many parts that are the same as the Ergo or the Voyager like the main bearing blocks, clutch shaft bearing blocks, tail drive gear bearing blocks, landing gear(it's the low profile version), motor mount, clutch, clutch bell, fan, fan hub, some of the main frame spacers, boom support, tail fins, boom clamps, battery tray, body mount stand-offs, fan shroud, flybar, flybar paddles, flybar see-saw, swashplate, wash-out arms, tail pitch lever, tail pitch slider, tail hub, tail blade grips, mixing arms(they're the aluminum version but are available in the US)etc.

The only problem I see is that the spindle shaft, main shaft and blade grip pitch arms are unique. These are parts likely to be broken in a crash. I would highly recommend ordering at least 2 spares of each(4 of the arms). It doesn't add that much to the price of the kit and since you have to pay high shipping already it makes sense to pack some of that stuff with the kit order.

Hope that helps.

Hello geisslf I was wondering how your voyager 50 imz was running. Do you feel this is a top notch machine for 3-D flying. I own 2 vigor cs's and would like a 50 size machine to try aggressive maneuvers with.

However, owners of these hobby shop are flyers at the local flying field. I'm on good terms with the JR shop owner and hence would be better to get any JR stuff from him.

Hi Dave,
Dun be mistaken, I just wanted to find out the price. Then do some calculation to guage the price in Singapore. I think it's at the S$1000 range.
The JR shop in singapore could order it from japan if I request.
There are so many variants of JR heli around the world. So I just want to find out more. I understand that there is a variant of Voyager 50 with a plastic swash plate and then there is another with a metal swash plate. There is also carbon frame and non carbon frame. Quite confusing.
Haha....you are quite quick..... ;-)
For you information, if I get from cyberheli, the shipping will make it more expensive than if I get it from singapore.
Hey, if you like to get something from singapore, I can help you to source for it. Haha, but you have to pay, of course.

Uh-huh... I am quick.

Thanks for the offer, last time I was in Singapore (1998) it was a great place to visit... love the food. People were extremely friendly and hospitable.

I actually recommend the IMZ50s for those who were being tempted to get Shuttle RGs since the RG design isn't up to current standards anymore now that 50s are being touted more for 3D than FAI.

I still have a couple of old helis I have to get rid off before I think about getting the IMZ, the engine alone is fabulous and the Pheonix canopy really makes it look like it means business!

Good luck.

Hi,
Can the Galaxy 50 fuse fits the Voyager 50 IMZ?
What is the item number for a Voyager 50 IMZ kit?
Is the Voyager 50 IMZ kit the only voyager with carbon frame and metal rotor head?
cheers

yes galaxy 50 fuse will fit Voyager 50/IMZ

and IMZ kit is the only kit with carbon frames and metal head

Or you can buy a normal Voyager and upgrade from there, but it is expensive

If you get IMZ make sure to get K&S 689, I would say that's compulsory
