Well Its pretty late and I just finally at least got my hornet off the ground for the first time in 2 weeks since I built it. But the tail is pretty crazy still. The mechanical aspects of it seem to be ok, its just the servos and the gyro need adjustment. What does everyone use for the tail setup, is the ms servos quick enough for the tail. Do you use longer or shorter servo arms. About how high to you set your gain. I seem to be getting wagging even at very very low gain. I have the 18/16 white tailgear upgrade to improve tail speed. Plus a titanium shaft in the tail which is longer giving more range of pitch in the tail. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd say there is too much friction or some slop in the tail rotor linkage. Make sure it's silky smooth then run up the heli with it in one hand and the t/r linkage in the other with the main blades off. Then change the pitch of the tail to see if there is any binding. At speed the short little screws bind in the hub if there isn't enough grease on them.

Fixed

I think it had allot to do with the fact that I hadn't greased the screws where the tail blade holders screw in to. Also I ended up breaking the stock carbo tail pushrod and just made my own pushrod out of a spare link I had. I just glued the stock connector to one end and used a spare ball link. It seemed to be holding pretty solid, but my new problem is the pinion and getting off the ground. This heli has been nothing but work.

Fastest micro servo

Is there like a perfect servo other than a 50 to run on the tail

I personally like the GWS HP Naro BB. It's the same speed but doesn't have the slop the typical Hitec 50 has. It's also cheap the only drawback is an additional 3 grams.
