this thing shakes only at 1600 rpm when i feed in cyclic---but not in a stable hover--it shakes considerabley more when i feed in forward cyclic--the horiz stab comes off

when i go to idle up 2 -----1750 it does not shake at all, runs like a top smooth as silk,---

paddles are properly aligned the spindle is straight--checked with dial indicator--orings are properly lubed--main shaft is straight, its not running too rich--the belts are properly tensioned--

i cant figure it out--- is it just that rpm range that it doesnt like

the shaking should stop when the engine has completely run in, this should be at least about 10 to 30 liter of fuel

Do the Shake?

Mine didn't and doesn't shake and it doesn't matter what RPM I fly. Try another set of blades, they could be the problem. A friend of mine had the shake too with a pair of unknown blades, switched to NHP's: shakes gone. Hope this helps.

the "shaking" at only some rpm has to do with the engine running rich, if it is the blades it should shake at all rpm

thanks guys

i figured out what the problem was with some help from a friend of mine, i figured that since it only did it when cyclic was applied, it had to be in the head, so i rechecked and rebalnced paddles, blades, checked flybar, all the regular checked out fine but still shook, so i thought it must be in the damping, so i took the shims out to soften it up some more, and it got better, so i took the shims out all together and hit the nail right on the head, i can run it from 1350 all the way to 2100 and it runs silk smooth, but i still cant keep the horiz stab from coming off after about three tanks because of the oil, so im gonna make a delrin braket to secure it better.

by the way mine was supposed to have a 7.7 ratio and it tached all wrong about 100 rpm too slow, so i took the measurments of pinion and main gear diameters and did the math, and copnsistently came up with 8.34 but imm still gonna verify it with tach.

iwas just surprised because i was toldf it was standard with 7.7 and it appears to have come with the correct ratio for the webra, im just getting this thing dialed in, and ive never flown anything like it..
