I've just ordered a Triton charger from Heliproz last Friday. I hope I don't get the run around. The reason I went to heliproz was because I got good reviews from people that used Heliproz.

I will keep all informed

I have had really good luck with both HP and Ricks. Any time I have called or ordered from either, I have gotten the stuff at lightening speed and I can't remember the last time I overpaid for stuff from either of them.

I have ordered stuff on two occasions from overseas for helis and one time it was perfect, the other the order got screwed up but they eventually made it right. In general overseas orders for stuff in and out of the US is kinda tough lately just call them and be patient?

I would definetely call HP and get the skinny, that doesn't sound like thier MO to me.

I have purchased from both on a way to routine basis, But I use Rick's for the most part do to my location. I get what I order from Rick's in two days UPS ground. HP takes 5 to 7 days just because of the distance.

HP pretty much always answers the phone and are great for tech assist.

Ricks almost never answers the phone but leave a msg, they always call back that day if it kills them, I've talk to Ron & Nathen as late as 9:00 pm and their ready a willing to stay on the phone as long as it takes. Don't call on friday, their not going to be there, (maybe in december) but if it an emergency tell them they will get in touch with Ron and he will call you back. been there done that.

The reason not there on fridays is there on there way to fly-in's to shake your hand and fly with you.

I too have had good results with HP and other heli shops too. All can't go as well as we wish all the time! If it could we all would only have to buy one heli 'cause nothing would ever break or crash. Communicate is the hardest thing for we humans have to do. We all can thing of good and bad experience when dealing with others. Seak understanding not revenge.

Heliproz and Ricks!

They both do a great job as far as I'm concerned. Hard to imagine supplying parts for so many series of helis and not running across a problem now and then. I honestly never had a trouble getting an email reply from Heli-Proz and in fact, was my motivating factor in my of my eventual purchases. When Eric thinks something is a dog, he just flat out tells it like it is. I appreciate that.

Its here! Ordered a Triton charger from Heliproz last Friday and it arrived today. That's only 5 days for U.S. to Ireland. Now thats great service. Well done Heliproz. You have my recommendation

There is only one place to go for YS parts, http://www.ysperformance.com ,

Dave Shadel and Rich Verano have the experience and service and parts to get your YS back in the air. Hope this helps.

Heliproz always seems to act like asses to foreign customers. They ignored my mails and when they replied they were rude. Seems like they are liked in the US of A tho.

If you have to order from the states, go with Ricks. Ron Lund is great.

Heliproz gets a big "YES" from me

Heliproz gets my business. Those guys are great. My orders are pulled and ready for shipping, even before I have a chance to get off the phone. They are very knowledgable and polite. I have never had a bad experience with them or any other mail order business for that matter. Since I am quite a distance from the nearest LHS, I use the mail order system frequentely. Heliproz is a class act. They get my vote. Just my 2$ worth.

Pound for Pound, Heli's are a blast..... Roland

Interesting bunch of replies to date. The conclusion would seem to be that Heliproz are a great bunch to deal with, if you happen to live in the US. Anywhere else (apart form Ireland ) and their a bunch of useless w*****s!

Anyway, I had originally discounted YS Performance because they never supplied the ST version, only the ST 2. Having read Walt's post it kind of prompted me to give them a try. Email sent AND received within 12 hours and it looks as if the problem WILL be sorted.

I'll let you all know what happens

Foot Note

My thanks to the guy's that offered to help me out

On Monday I ended up telephoning YS Performance, gave them my card details. This was without any crap I've had in the past from another US company wanting photo copies of the dam thing!

Anyway, in the post this morning there was the piston ring

Brilliant service and cheaper than I could buy it (if anyone had one) in the UK.

Heli-Proz....

Like riprocop states above, we have some options here in California... I live about 50 miles from "Milpitas." A mere drive down the freeway to the Bay Area.

Shipping:
Heliproz: If I place an order on line on a Sunday evening, it ALWAYS arrives by Wednesday. The "Cal Store": More than twice that in time.
Heliproz: they handle it; the "Cal Stor" has to consume days worth of time confirming that I know that the oversized box will cost me more, etc!

Heliproz ships for free over $100 and no oversized box penalty; "Cal Store" I get to pay the full shipping price AND the oversized box penalty.

Prices: Comparable

Taxes: Heliproz, no sales tax; and the "Cal Store:" Not their fault but add 7% plus to the tab.

Summary: The Montana Heliproz shop is faster, and far less in cost... AND Eric REFUSES to sell me a set of stock main rotor blades for my "Shuttle Plus trainer," as he feels they are not worth the price! I really don't care, but ya gotta love it when someone tries to protect you! (The email exchanges to date are mind twists!! Just great!)

How about this for great service. Last Thursday around 5 PM, I ordered a YS 91 from Heliproz. Got it the next day - less than 24hrs.
Consider that I live more than 3000 miles away in Puerto Rico!
Larry is the fellow that took my order. Very pleasant to talk with and needless to say, reliable.

Heliproz has always treated me well --whether it was a simple email to ask about a product, a question about problems seen with particular products, and of course, to buy either heli parts, or heli kits.

A top notch shop run by people who know their stuff.

Same goes for Rick's.

These are about the only two shops I consistently buy from on line.

Emails to either Rick's or Heliproz are promptly and honestly answered, and orders are acknowledged within a day. They've both got my business.

OVERSEAS is the reason. Heliproz seems really to hate outside-USA orders. If I remember right there have been earlier threads on this. I had to fax them my ID card before they would take my orders but after that it was OK.

From your story it also seems that they actually dont have the item in stock, another good reason to phone them and check it before you order.

heliproz doesn't hate overseas. you are plain paranoid. it is just plain more risky to ship outside the us since fraud is much harder to fight. disputing charges and and trying to get money back, especially when a stolen card is used is much more difficult and often will not work at all. also the address cross check (zip verification etc...) with international cards does not work... so give em a break, they are just protecting their bussines like everyone else....

As it happens I can quite appreciate how a company might feel like that. I would have every sympathy for a company that had experienced problems with trading abroad and decided not to continue to do so.

What I do not however have any consideration or sympathy for is a bunch of sh1t heads like Heliproz who accept an order, even with a caveat that international customers will be contacted, and then totally fail to contact them. Worse still they ignore polite follow up emails and then cancel the order without so much as a 'by your leave'. They go down in the book of all time arse-holes.

A personal opinion, born of personal experience, yours may be different
