I know the flags are placed in a rectangle.
But what is the dimension of the rectangle?

You can check the FAI Sporting Code in here: http://www.hctf.net/kilp/fai.pdf

It says that the rectangle is 10mX10m. So if you got 6 flags in there, it makes a flag in every corner and the 2 flags in the middle of the sides. So 5 meters from a corner flag to a center flag and 10 meters from a corner flag to another one
