If you just add shims inbetween the grips and dampers, you cause alot of resistance to movement on the grips, causing the servos to strain and overwork. You want the grips to move freely, no resistance or strain at all if possible. If you want to add shims there, you would need a c-clip system like the Fury has, or something similar to keep pressure off of the blade grips, but still on the dampers. The Voyager does not have such a system, so stiffer dampers are needed. |
