I have just read two recent off topic threads about the Velocity rc helicopter and I felt I must share the information I have with you.

First of all the Velocity helis in question are not really manufactured by velocity and it is a shame the velocity guys are trying to market a good heli by a false name.

The heli in question is really called a FEIBA 30S or FEIBA 30D. They are manufactured in Asia as with most rc helis around and have been manufactured since 1999. The Feiba 30S is now the 4th generation model. FEIBA manufacture 6 different heli models two 30 scale models and four 60 scale models. The model being sold by the velocity guys is a 30 scale and a .36 engine would be the max no chance of installing a .60 for sure.

FEIBA helis have only been sold in ASIA till now cause the manufacturer would not be able to cope with the USA or European market, but I have just heard they have moved into larger premises so we should be seeing them pop up here and there.

And please note the 60 scale Feiba helis come standard with full aluminium cnc machined parts I'll post a few pics later. Here you can see the FEIBA 60 scale model.

The pic is outside their new factory, the Kid shows you the FEIBA's Asian origin, so Velocity guys get your marketing straight please you've done alot of harm to this new manufacturer already I think you should come straight with the ppl on these forums and maybe they will forgive you.

Please note I have all this info cause I own 2 Feiba Helis a FEIBA 30S and a FEIBA 60BS and I got them direct from the manufacturer.

More mis-information...

Geezz....Thought that Velocity crap was dead....

Now let's see if I am not mistaken I would have to say that "FEIBA 60" is an older Hirobo Eagle or R60 (frames look Hirobo and the rest looks TT to me) hopped up with lot's of fancy blue bits and a cut down Freya canopy.....
Cute Kid in the picture though..

Well and the "FEIBA 30" head pictured in the next pic looks like another Hirobo with a BUNCH of shiney aftermarket head bits from a Raptor.....

NOTHING new here to my eyes....

Don't you just love these "Mystery" companies that no one seems to know about till a first time user post's them here....
Come on post a website or something that is useful until then I just see scam written on this stuff like the Velocity thing.

Well....

That has to be the most info I have seen on these EVER. I still question the source though as it could be all coming from the guy who built it in his garage and the user name is the same.

That being said they are still clones of various helis for sure.
The head in the one picture is totally Hirobo.
I would be really curious as to why nobody in the US has imported these if the parts are so interchangable and they fly so well?

As DNHP are metal rip-off's of the JR heli line, Feiba are metal rip-off's of a little bit of this and a little bit of that.....though I know the DNHP helis are good machines, would be interesting to know if these are good also.......

fitenfyr - Dude says above, the manafacturer can't make enough for export out of Asia.......

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your post, I posted here just to give info to those who might have thought the FEIBA brand did not exist, thats all I think then I have made my point, I was sad to see the velocity guys make a total flop out of this brand, I think the FEIBA brand deserves better although its a new brand and not marketed yet in USA or Europe.

As to the brands quality well I am not in the position to judge them.

As someone else said with the DHNP from Korea are enhanced copies of JR helis, I'm sure the FEIBA helis are probably enhanced copies of other brands or started off that way, but I know their 30 scale models are the 4th generation, ie. there has been 4 versions of FEIBA 30 so far, now they are selling Version 4.

Just another pic of a couple of 30 and 60 scale Feiba's.

Well

Best of luck to them.
I for one don't like people taking someone else's design and slapping a few shiney bits on it and then selling it as their own without any regard to the original brand.
Guess that is just me though and if they are selling well in Asia then I guess somebody will fly them.

you cannot compare Feiba to DNHP helis in terms of DNHP being a ripoff of JR. DNHP at least does some engineering, they do not rip off entire helis. The Velocity guys just copy everything

The velocity guys dont manufacture a thing, you didn't read all the above posts, my point is that the heli the velocity guys tried to sell but made a flop out of it cause of wrong info and bad marketing, really exists and its true name is FEIBA which is made is ASIA. Actually they only offered the 30 scale heli.

If the FEIBA 60 scale pics shown above is a copy of a Raptor or Hirobo as others have explained then they did the same as DHNP as they offer the 60 scale kit in full cnc aluminium parts so thats engineering i think too.

And colin thats not a raptor head its a FEIBA 60 head which apparently is a close copy then of a Rator 60.

It does look similar but the Freya main rotor grips are plastic if I am not mistaken as where the Feiba rotor grips are machined aluminium.
