I have crashed my Raptor 60V2 Four times now because of the tail system on it, The first couple happened because the brass insert, that goes into the yoke turned loose in flight, Once because the yoke broke, and then yesterday because the torque tube broke right in front of the bolt at goes thru it to hold on the spline section.. Here is a pic of the broken torque tube, Has anyone had this proublem with there Craptor?? Could use a little help here.... Lost in Oklahoma!!!!

Sounds like you might have some bad Karma around Raptors.

The brass insert may unscrew itself if the pitch slider is overdriven into the tailbox as it doesn't have a left hand thread (like eg Kalt's had).But it's usually quite tight if a new sleeve has only been fitted once to a new yoke and would take some doing,it's possible if you used the same brass sleeve that it may be a little undersize. The sleeve coming undone is no yoke btw:-)

I have never seen that on a Raptor but have been told about the splins coming of the tail drive shaft. Everyone pins the tail drive shaft to make sure it does not come loose.

Yesterday, my Raptor 50 also went knife edge, after tail-roto failure.

Before this flight I have changed the pin used on tail-rotor shaft and tail-rotor gear, with a brand-new one... what happened... it last for 5 minutes then cracked in the center.

After an ispection I have find out that a cheap material was used.

Now I will use my own cutted out of spring wire.
