Aerobatic 3D Contest > How to tic-toc without losing altitude fast?

I'm particularly impressed with tic-tocs and I attempted it last weekend.
However my sceadu with os50 lost altitude real fast. I can only do 3 tic-tocs before I have to push my sceadu in recovery.

How can I make the sceadu maintain a certain altitude during tic-toc?

I recover the sceadu using a back flip. Quite ok except that it comes close to earth sometimes. What other way can I recover from tic-tocs?

It's just a matter of getting the timing right. Lead with collective rather than cyclic and it'll get better.

I recover any way my brain tells me to at the time .

TIC TOC

Make the angle larger so you spend more time climbing. Ie a bigger angle. If you have a 91 you can do them almost verticle but with smaller engines 60 and less be patiant and increase the angle before going back the other way.

Hope that helps.

Is this correct?
1)Climb to near vertical, like a stall turn
2)Pull back on elev and push up collective. the heli tic-toc to the back.
3)As it nears the end of the back tic-toc, push down collective to stop the movement and reverse it. Pull up on elec.
4) repeats for forward tic-toc.

So, it's collective first then elev.....correct?

I also notice that if I pump too hard, the engine will bog.

tried almost 180 tic's and tocs to make it easier to maintain hieght but to no avail.
I'll try again to lead with collective

Ok, now I can do tic toc. But I'm not sure about the exit move.

I thought of doing an inverted flip but sometimes it's quite scary if the heli is dropping fast.

I also thought of doing a 540 turn, just like that in a stall turn.

How do you guys exit from a tic toc?
