Hi I have been playing around G2 for a few months now and I am getting the hand of it. So I am ready to buy a RC heli. I am really impress on the Vario's scale body. So I am more into sport flying and scale. And I want to get an electric instead of engine ones. Is Silence a good beginner heli? What is a good setup for it? I am just getting the tranner kit for now, afterward, I will get a nice scale body for it. Thank you for your help guys!

There are no fuses for the Silence at this moment that i am aware of. Electrics can be used to learn on, but they suffer from shorter flight times of a 30 size glow engine. The Silence also comes with a flybarless rotor head which is not really for a beginner.

Does SkyFox and slience have the same flames and mechanics? And most of Vario's bodies will fit SkyFox rite? So they will fit Silence too, I think.

The Silence and Skyfox frames are totally different.

Get a 30 glow. I would start out with something cheap and easy to repair with parts available in your area. See what the locals are flying so they can help you with set up etc. You can always move up later and save alot of $. A Raptor for instance is an excellent flying helicopter that can take you from beginner to 3d and is very inexpensive to repair. Once you are confident you probably won't crash you can move up to a 60 Sky Fox or if you have your mind made up to go electric check out the Logo 10 or 20 and the Joker. They are probably the closest to state of the art in electrics. With the lithium poly batts 20 min flight times are not uncommon. Hopfully the batt prices will come down in the near future,

i would stay as far away from a vario as i could for a beginner heli. i have a kobold "beginner heli" and don't get me wrong its a very nice machine, but there is no way i would want it as my first. the kits are incomplete (no ball links, no t/r connectors, no servo mounts if you choose 3 servo.etc..) the instructions could be better, and they require a lot of attention to detail when building. i learned the hard way. after losing my tail rotor 200ft up i now know to grind a flat spot for the setscrews in the drive wire..They also hose you on crash parts too. come on now, who else sells skid bars separately?
